Five albums everyone should be listening to.

Five albums everyone should be listening to.

Looking for some new music inspiration? Look not further! These are the five albums I've currently got in rotation.

Future - FUTURE

Future has been quiet in the last couple of years but has burst back onto the scene
with two albums in the space of seven days, with another rumoured very soon, the
first ‘FUTURE’ (self-titled) brings back the atmospheric, moody, melodic trap vibes
we all love, with some really catchy hooks and ad-libs, most notably in ‘Mask Off’ &
‘I'm So Groovy’.

Sampha - Process

Sampha’s new album ‘Process’ is coming off the end of some amazing features most notably with Drake and Solange. His passionate, soulful voice and poetic song structure mixed with his gorgeous piano performances and electronic beats makes this album a cant miss!

Loyle Carner - Yesterday's Gone

Loyle Carner, the young, humble rapper from Croydon, London, has blown up with his sensational debut full length LP (Yesterday’s Gone). He’s flying the torch for the new wave of old-school style hip-hop out of the U.K, his laidback jazz style and introspective lyrics about his upbringing bring an engaging and nostaglic feel that make this album a real gem!

Fav Track; ‘No Worries’

Jamiroquai - Automaton

Seven year’s since Jamiroquai has released any music, has been far to long for all us 90’s kids that were brought up with his upbeat disco funky tunes. His highly anticpated upcoming album (Automaton) is looking to be a homerun, although only two tracks are available right now, we recommend going back to listen some of his classics like, ‘’You Give Me Something’ & ‘Feel’s Like It Should’ to really bring back your love for this man. Be sure to listen to both the new tracks with the album releasing at the end of this month.

The XX - I See You

‘I See You’ the third album from the very popular The XX, have come together again after a few years of individual ventures most successfully Jamie XX’s ‘In Colour’ his 2015 smash hit record that really brought his talents to the forefront of popular culture, you can tell from first listen that his electronic, chilled style has heavily influenced their new album and coupled with the songwriting and vocal capabilities of Romy and Oliver means that this is an absolute must for everyone’s playlist.

Over and out,
